Poetry

Photo by Aaron Burden on Unsplash

Colors of Fall
scattered everywhere,
a crisp feeling
knifing through the air.

Summer lingered
just too long,
the next season
hustling in headstrong.

Cooler days
are upon us,
the darkness
is superfluous.

Smoke billowing
from houses here and there,
bright, crackling fires
warming the nighttime air.

A perfect time
to settle…
