Sun shimmering down
on a crisp, fall day,
leaves skittering
through the grass.

Oranges, yellows, and reds
the perfect backdrop
as the couple walks along
the rocky, dirt path.

Hand in hand,
step by step,
taking in the
atmosphere.

Stopping,
staring —
into each other’s
smiling eyes.

A kiss,
warming their…

Hand in hand
they walk the trail,
a breath of fresh air
both did exhale.

Obstacles forged by
the rough terrain,
together tackling
this forest campaign.

Life’s challenges
hard fought as one,
a life worth living —
together,
under the midnight sun.

No words,
yet so much
to say.

Head filled with
earth-shattering noise,

Eerie shadows engulf the area…

A world of hope, fantasy, and promise.

A place of where kids can be kids, and adults can relive their childhood.

Unicorns, faeries, witches, and wizards…

Summer heat
melting and tanning
grass and trees.

Humidity thick,
dehydrating everything
as far as the eye can see.

Drought so bad,
bodies of water
gasping for a drink.

Brush of air
gusting through,
a small relief.

Sky darkening
in an instant,
the sun blocked
from sight.

Wind picking up,
erasing…

A carriage pulls away as night falls.

A ghost-like breath forming from the horses' mouths and noses as they pull the carriage.

The house shrouded in darkness but for the lights in each window.

A mysterious figure looks out from the third-floor window, watching as his guest leaves in a…
